The food and drinks are good, however we went for brunch on a Sunday and it took way too long to get our food and they were not busy. Our waiter was slow and non existent half the time. The food was good when we finally got it but we were very close to walking out. On the positive side- Definitely recommend stopping in to grab a "Cool Cucumber". Best drink I had in Nola.

What a cool brewery/bar. We decided to stop by for a refreshing local beer after seeing such a huge sign from afar. After walking upstairs to use the restroom, we were very glad we ventured to this spot. There's a pretty cool sign you can snag a touristy pic next to, and cool lounge areas with some comfy sofas. Not to mention live music, and an awesome balcony with views! The local blonde was a great refreshing beer for a hot afternoon also. Great find in the French quarter!

This is a staple French quarter spot. Very casual (couches, live music, cheap beers, etc.) great place for sporting events and there is a fantastic Panasonic view of the area. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and though they were a little salty, I really enjoyed them. My friend ordered the jax burger medium and it took over an hour to receive (due to ticket issues in the system) and though it was well done it was good tasting when it did arrive. The manager graciously offered us free desserts and it was great tasting as well. The bread pudding has been the best option I've had in recent history. The beignets were, dare I saw this, better than Cafe Du Mondes which is across the street. I would come back and recommend it any visitors.

Service was super slow, but putting that aside, the bloody Mary I had here was on point and that cheese and tasty meats platter was amazing! I stopped in here for breakfast (well, I was just getting up so...) with some friends while we waiting for another friend to join us for lunch. I was starving, so we got a little something to share. We were all very pleased with what we got-- all the meats were delicious, especially the pork belly with a bit of pepper jam and the sausage. On a Thursday around noon, there were a few people inside, but it was pretty empty. I would return if I happened by, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

The space is huge and great but smells like there was a party there last night. I imagine that the space is popping @ night because there are stages, lounge couches and several bars (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). The upstairs outdoor space is large but would not be a good place to wear heels because of their cracked and lopsided cement squares. It overlooks the river which makes this place a cool spot to dine with a view. I tried the fried green tomatoes with crawfish and thought it was delicious. It's the only fried green tomato dish I've had outside my own home. I also had a bloody mary here and thought it was very spicy and salty (more so than the average bloody mary). Service was slow but it seemed like there was only 1 worker for the entire upstairs space.

Stopped here for breakfast. Live entertainment. Fast friendly service.. However, I feel some sort of dress code should be in place.

This was the slowest bar service I have ever experienced. The bars in this restaurant were not even crowded and the bar tenders completely ignore the customers. Then when you finally do get to order, they do about a million other tasks before making your drink (I.e. Washing cups, organizing their pens, counting their tip jar). I honestly thought I was getting punked. They don't even know to tilt the glass when pouring champagne into a flute to make a mimosa so I watched in horror as they took about 7 minutes to pour the damn thing over and over again with foam going all over. They used almost an entire bottle of champagne to make 2 mimosas bc they don't know how to pour it correctly. If you want to see something scary in New Orleans, don't go on the ghost tour, just come here and try to order a drink.

The Duck Bombs were to die for...and thoroughly enjoyed the bartender, Faye. Not only was she super personable, but she made some awesome drinks as well! I'll definitely be visiting again when in NOLA.

A storm had just come through when we ducked into this place. We were not greeted by anyone but I had remembered that there was a more readily available bar upstairs from my previous visit to the city. We head upstairs to the bar and scope out a place to sit for 5 people. The bathrooms were decently clean and we head to the bar. As someone who loves trying many different beers, I wanted to get a beer flight. Which was not offered on their bar menu but was on their food menu. My friend and I looked over their bar menu and knew what we wanted. There was one bartender working and it was not a busy time of day. This woman could have easily hustled a bit more and gotten things done, however, it didn't seem that was math was her strong suit and she needed to run to the cash register every single time someone paid cash for her to realize how much to give back. She was annoyed by a gentleman ordering an old fashion next to us - she actually rolled her eyes and mocked laughed. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting we were able to order our beers, I didn't even ask about a beer flight for fear of being chastised. Apparently my beer was not behind the bar and she had to leave the bar just to get it. I left her nothing for a tip because this woman purposely took her time with each person's order. What the heck. Anyway. Don't anticipate customer service at the bar upstairs.

Stopped for lunch in second floor so we could watch the activity on the Mississippi. Great view. Good food. Service was slow out of the kitchen and server was inattentive. Brisket nachos were a nice change of pace. Blackened chicken sandwich and burgers were delicious!

  • Matt P.

We went here hoping to get some local craft beer, but when we were seated we learned they had nothing on tap. To make it worse, the food took forever and tasted pretty bad. Not worth your time or money.

Don't eat at Jax's the food was horrible.. I order a hamburger and it came with no cheese, no tomato, only meat and bread and the meat was cold. I was very disappointed I will never eat here again. I do not recommend this place... Maybe they are known for their beer. Not to mention it took us one hours to get our cool food.

Came here for a pit stop drink. Got 2 hurricanes togo for $10 during happy hour. The bartender was very friendly. Place was big. I would definitely recommend coming here fore happy hour

  • Paul Y.

I only had 2 beers here, somewhat by mistake since when I got my bill I saw they were $8 each. I had a hard time finding a seat where I couldn't hear some dude playing "Drive" by Incubus. This is New Orleans. Seriously? So I sat on the outdoor balcony to which I heard some bros yell to their (female?) friends, "this place is #1 for your #2." That about sums it up.

  • Terry M.

Luv this place. The food is great and the staff know what to recommend. I'll go back and probably with a bigger group of friends - patio is awesome.

  • Lin G.

It's weird: Much of what's going on with my life is a complete surprise to even myself. I wasn't supposed to be in New Orleans or be staying with my friend whom I hit up last minute, but somehow we ended up here when I was already pretty shithoused, running with our umbrellas trying to beat the impending storm that never came. The outside area upstairs is cool with a view of the Mississippi River (always makes me think of Tom Sawyer or one of those books). However, there is only one dingy table outside AND, it's the target blasting area of some sort of restaurant ventilation so if you look cute, keep in mind that you will leave smelling like greasy french fries which makes you less cute. Drinks are like $10 each. EXPENSIVE! And small sized like but I was drunk already so no harm no foul. Mojitos are better than margaritas. It's a huge space inside but not many people upstairs.

    (3)
  • Casey M.

Inexpensive drink specials and one of the coolest upstairs lounges I've ever seen. Lots of comfy, roomy leather couches. Not at all cramped. The upstairs levels are reason enough to check this place out.

Happened to stumble into Jax Brewery one day and since it wasn't that busy, we considered going elsewhere - I'm so glad we didn't. We sat down at the bar and was quickly served by Taylon. She was very helpful and fun. We quickly started conversation and before we knew it, we'd been there four hours! We weren't necessarily sold on the location itself, but we were completely sold on our service. Taylon gave us some great tips on places to try while we were in town and kept us entertained throughout our stay. We liked her so much, we actually ended up coming back a few days later to have another beer and an appetizer at her bar. Food was great and again, so was the company. Anyway, moral of the story - loved the service!

Stopped here on a very long bachelor party Saturday. Most of the group (about 12 of us) was pretty drunk, but that was no problem for our bartender, Meghan. She claimed it was her first night, but she handled us like a pro. We got our drinks quickly, and they were good drinks at that. She didn't balk at our "bachelor partiness" and was happy to joke around with us. I know she was probably working for the tips, but it was still nice that she didn't get annoyed with us. She even pranked a couple of the other guys at my request. Other than that, the "balcony" in the back is where we hung out and it's got a great view. The prices aren't bad for a nicer bar; and, again, the service was great. No complaints here.

Really cool place, but that's about it. Didn't eat because the menu changed from what it used to be, but really let down by the service and lack of beer selection.

    (2)
  • Ted D.

Service was incredibly slow, especially considering it wasn't that busy. Food arrived cool and a few orders were missed. They let a patron come in that was completely hammered and watched the guy crawl up the stairs almost falling down the whole thing twice, they said it's not their responsibility to keep him from killing himself, "that's why we pay so much for insurance" was the exact words. There are many better options along Decatur. The overall review on Yelp is legit.

Super cool building in the heart of the French Quarters. It's too bad the brewery building is now just shops and restaurants. They've got the best spot in the corner next to the action. I'm not a huge beer drinker but I did like their beer. Looking forward to the next trip to NOLA when I can sit at the bar and taste them all. This is a good place to chill out and do some people watching.

We wandered over to Jax after taking the Jazz Brunch Cruise on the Steamboat Natchez. We were in need of beer and a place to relax out of the sun. We found seats in the upper bar area, away from a big group downstairs with a lovely place to hang out and enjoy a few brews. Open air. Less busy. It was great! Unfortunately, we did not partake in anything other than beer and atmosphere but we were definitely pleased with what we found.

Service was the worst! If you are in hurry do not go here. The food was ok and the drinks were sub-par. I felt like we were not wanted.

  • Johnny P.

Had an awful experience here, I'm afraid. Mix-ups galore: the food, the bill, etc. At one point four people were involved with trying to fix my being overcharged and no one knew what they were doing. Our server actually quit during the fiasco, although I don't think she had been working there long. It was unfortunate, and hopefully just a fluke. But I don't think I'll be trying it again anytime soon.

Went with my fiancé for lunch. Was seated upstairs. Brandi was our "waitress" and did nothing other than bringing our check. Everything we needed had to be prompted by us. We watched two 5-tops walk away because of her lack of attentiveness. The manager simply apologized but didn't offer any sort of resolution. I would never go back there. Second time visiting New Orleans with intentions of coming back many more times and I can promise you one thing. I won't be going back to the Bistro.

Stopped in because it said brewery. To put the word "bistro" into the title of this place is misleading. We walked in and had to get the hostess' attention, who was texting, to seat us. We could not understand a word she said because she was quiet and mumbling and walking away from us. The waiter knew NOTHING about any of the beers that they served (we both wanted the sampler). And the place did not even have a beer list to assist this poor helpless waiter. Maybe we are just Michigan beer snobs but I expect you to know something about the items that you are serving. After having to walk from my table up to the bar to figure out what the beers actually were I ordered the samplers for the 2 of us. When they came he said they were in the order that I had ordered them in....but in reality they were all mixed up. So besides the service being bad AND incompetent the beers were very blah. One out of the five beers we had was worth anything. Our food was borderline edible at best. We got the cheese and meat plate. The cheese had obviously been sitting out all day and was crappy processed cheddar and pepperjack. And the atmosphere is on par with a horrible, empty, franchise sports bar on its last leg. It is attached to a run down shopping mall. In a city with so many good options do NOT come here. You will waste your time and money. You have been warned.

Want to dance? In the Quarter? Really, really big group of friends? Jax Brewery is your best bet in the French Quarter in my opinion for groups of 25+ to "get down" without having to fight over elbow room. Occasionally there is a cover. I can't be sure what nights/what time, but call ahead to check and let me know if you get a solid schedule. Also, if you have a large group that's going in, you may be able to work out a deal with them for cover. Shannon S. has successfully described the layout, and I second Mallory E.'s frustration over trying to get a drink but there are multiple bars ( I believe 4?) so sidle up to the one where the bartender is a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend, and you may have a better chance of getting a drink though they're not going to be your dive bar cheap. If you're the sensitive type and want to chat with your friends the back bar by the patio on the river side is perfect and the patio is quite large for smokers and non. If you could care less what the person is saying next to you, the dance floor is huge with enough room to allude that creepy guy that keep rolling air dice and shooting imaginary guns. If you want a hybrid spot, the bar to the right of the stairs with windows facing the street has seating but you can still hear the DJ, BUT I've had the most trouble getting a drink at this particular bar. On the last occasion, our friend got the "VIP section" right behind the DJ booth. A couple of things to be aware of if you're assigned this VIP section. There's no bouncer except my personal reinforcement of a sad little droopy rope...so people will hop over constantly to sit, slouch, make out, and dance on your purse and coat, and possibly take one of the two home. This spot is REALLY LOUD. And, from what I can remember in my drunken haze...the DJ doesn't take requests (or maybe he can't hear or understand my slurring). On another note, the bathrooms are usually clean and the line, if there is one, goes quickly for the girls bathroom. Though I have these complaints, if you've got a really large group, it's a great time because you're surrounded by friends without having to actually touch them, and that's hard to find that much space in New Orleans to shake your tush.

What a shame, I ordered the waffle and it came cold. Strangely the beignets were still warm and we ordered them 15 minutes before. The place has great decor and spirit. Our waitress must have been on her first day. She did not know the menu and or the beers offered. Maybe your experience might be better

What's a New Orleans trip without beignets? Located right next to world famous Cafe Du Mond on Decatur, to the left of the main restaurant and pub is a small cafe that features small sandwiches, snacks and drinks. Not wanting to wait in the 30 min line for Cafe Du Mond, I opted to start my morning next door at Jax's with their version of the beignet. The is a small coffeeshop that resembles a 50's diner (not the main Jax restaurant, but the coffee shop to the left of it). I sat down at the bar and ordered the cafe au lait and a beignet with light sugar. A really nice, sweet lady took my order and told me that the difference between theirs and Cafe Du Mond's recipe is theirs is lighter and more pastry like, while the other is made with bread flour so is a little doughier. She also wanted to tell me that most people who try theirs like them better. Also, their coffee (Jax's) doesn't contain chicory so isn't as bitter. It came out quickly, and the beignets were hot and steaming as they should. They were crunchy on the outside and indeed, compared to cafe Du Mond's, seemed a little hollow on the inside, though not completely. They did have enough pastry goodness to get enough of that beignet feel, with a fluffier texture. I could see what she meant by being lighter and not "doughy" but I wouldn't exactly call it better, just different. Every bite had a delicious crunch to it, so I would say it was a close finish. The coffee was an excellent way to wash the beignets down, and is much less bitter without the chicory. Would definitely recommend, especially as an alternative to the long lines at Cafe Du Mond. However, if it's your first time in New Orleans, you still need to go just to say you've been and tried the beignets at Cafe Du Mond. No getting around that!

The food was good but a little pricey. Unfortunately there was one person working downstairs as the hostess, waitress, bartender, server, runner (had to go upstairs to get the food) so it took a little while to get served.

I was at first excited at the thought of a brewery with some outdoor spaces, but super disappointed. We sat outside 25 minutes waiting for a waitress, there was no drink menu, and the beer flight came out with no names so I had no idea what I was drinking.

The brewery concept is very cool but , the service is very poor . This place is very unorganized . Very little staff . Didn't even stay to get my order taken I just left the service is very poor

We went here tonight around 4. It was pretty empty since it was an odd time. Everyone in my group was very happy with their food. Our waitress's name was Diane and she was very nice. She was a great waitress and she talked to us about the menu and other things about the city and food. The food and service was very good. My friend ordered the gumbo and shrimp poboy and really enjoyed both. She thought the shrimp was a little spicy but she loved it. My sister ordered a cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. The menu on the website isn't up to date to the restaurant since they've made some changes but the new menu is very good and has plenty of choices.

HOLY COW! Where did this little treat sneak up from?!? So, like other locations, this was a simple pass and go for us when we were/are in the area. It looks nice, don't get me wrong, and is even in a good location, but it never screamed "hey - I'm full of delicious goodness. Aren't you curious?!?" So normally it was just a quick glance as the host/hostess tried to wave us inside as we continued our ventures into the French Quarter for unknown and tasty food locations. On this particular day (one of many) we, however, decided that we just wanted a quick snack and this would make a good stop. Especially since it was a place we KNEW was enroute back to our hotel. Why go out of the way when we just want a snack, and a nap? :) So, into the bistro we go. Deciding to split something to eat, we decide that the BBQ 'pulled' brisket sliders are idea. They are small enough to not over do it, but big enough to split/share and not feel starving. Of course these came with fries. Now, before I give details, I'll let you know we are both BBQ fanatics, tried a lot of places and have a lot of favs... with THE SHED in Ocean Springs, MS ranked #1 in our hearts and stomachs. So, when I take the time to say these little sliders were... well... AMAZING. You should know that it's not just me having a drunken meal to help sober me up. Rather, this was a sober choice of dish that I would return several times for until the waitress was forced to come back and tell me my card was declined due to lack of funds. That how good it was!! The brisket wasn't tuff, or chewy, or 'burnt' like one could fear it being when cooked improperly. Instead it was perfection. Tender, moist, little bit of bark along the edges to add that flavor. Just perfect. A slapped, pretty heavily I might add, between two soft and buttery buns was - for lack of a better term - heaven! The fries were waffle fries (her favorite) and had a nice little crunch to them, but in the way of being burnt. So a perfect combination. We had to remind ourselves it was only a snack, because I almost requested another order to nom down on. Instead we managed to contain ourselves and balance it out by licking the plate clean. I feel it may have looked awkward but was appreciated by the chef. If the rest of their food is anything like this, we'll be coming back next time we're in the area to venture into other dishes. But if you're looking for a delicious BBQ treat while you're surrounded by Cajun goodness (happens to the best of us) I'd highly recommend (several times!!) this fantastic JAX Bistro location!!!!!

  • Doug S.

This place was horrible! We went in for lunch, sat outside, proceeded to wait an hour for our food. The food was hard as a rock like it was cooked 50 minutes earlier. The waffle fries had the consistency of GUM!! We asked to see the manager and we were told that no one was available, the food manager was too busy on the line and the restaurant manager was out at the bank... Probably because they are on the verge of bankruptcy. There was a couple sitting next to us and when they received their food, they almost vomited and got up and left without paying the tab. Another young couple was there to have coffee and beignets and waited just as long... really!! This place has an amazing advantage with great views of the river and Jackson Square, but it was ashamed that they couldn't get their act together. They ruined our day trip down in the quarter! Don't go ever!!

Great selection of the local brew Abita. It's a pretty big place and has an upstairs. We went during the day so there wasn't much going on. Grab a drink here and then go explore.

This place is mediocre at best. I ordered an omelet and it came unseasoned and cold. Potatoes on the plate where pretty good but also cold. The place serves breakfast but was almost empty at 10 am.

Our bartender Dante made the experience for us. First time visitors to New Orleans, my boyfriend and I found Jax Brewery on the walk from our breakfast at Cafe Du Monde. We figured we would have a brew and keep it moving. That was 4 hours ago. Thanks to Dante, we made friends at the bar, and have been hanging out for the entire first half of the day. It is rare to find people to not only start conversations with, but to be able to form a connection with and enjoy the day. Highly recommended place to stop for a drink or 4.

Lettuce wraps are very salty. The shrimp appetizer was really good though. Top 40 music, but little to no one on restaurant on a Monday @ 1pm. Had it not been raining and we needed cover, we likely wouldn't have eaten here. Decent. Not memorable in the least.

  • Melissa C.

A group of us stopped at Jax to eat only because Cafe Du Monde was too busy and we were starving. I ordered the breakfast sandwich that also came with potatoes. My friends ordered the chicken and waffles, brisket fries, gumbo and an order of beignets for the table. My sandwich was good, they could've left the old hard potatoes off of the plate. They were inedible. The fries with brisket were yummy and the beignets were doughy and needed more powdered sugar. My friend that ordered the gumbo got hers 10 minutes after our food was brought out and it was underwhelming Service overall wasn't great and accompanied with old food really didn't help.

This was the worst experience I've had with a bar service and it all came down to the bartender Colleen. She seemed very young and inexperienced. The service was very slow, which is something that can happen with a large group and only one bartender. The intolerance was Colleen's poor attitude surrounding the service. She was flustered and angry towards us (the patrons). I will not give any more business to her or this bar as a consequence of Colleen. Worst bartender I've seen! I'm very well traveled.

We went there for an "exclusive" formal NYE party with seriously expensive tickets. There were about 8 bar tenders for several hundred people...forget getting a drink. At this classy affair, the DJ played family family favorites like the Macarena and the Cupid shuffle...we stepped out for the chicken dance. As a lover of decent breweries, culture, and otherwise cool spots, the visit to the Jackson Brewery was unquestionably the worst part of my visit to NOLA.

Came a bit early before our ghost tour on a Monday and told the server straightaway what our time frame was. No problem was the response. We had 45 mins and we ordered 2 sandwiches. The first annoyance was that the bar was out of ingredients to make several of their signature cocktails and I ordered my third choice- it was good, but how do you run out of your SIGNATURE cocktail ingredients?? 15 mins left until our tour and I enquire with the host where the heck our server is and where our food is. Apparently he had been waiting in the kitchen for our food because they ran out of BBQ sauce. Wtf. HOW DOES A RESTAURANT RUN OUT OF BBQ SAUCE???? The "chef" had to make it from scratch. Their menu has 4 sandwiches on it. 2 of them have bbq sauce. You might was well close for the day. We ended up having to take our things to go and split up to catch our tour. This is ridiculous customer service. And on top of that, the 2nd sandwich had no dressing at all. After all that trouble making the sauce, it never made it on the sandwich. It seemed as though they had no one with any experience working that night. With such a small menu, wouldn't it be pertinent to have everything to make all of your dishes?? To be fair, they did only charge us for one sandwich. Still a completely ridiculous "bistro." Don't waste your time here.

This place is always hit or miss. As a over 25 year old I feel like I am too old for this bar. There are never enough bartenders and you can wait a long time to get a drink or close a bar tab. The most recent time I went there was a great bartender (May 4, 2013). This is a fun place to end up after Red Dress Run!

Great bar for a little day drinking. Stopped in with my sisters and mom while doing some sight-seeing and had a Bloody Mary (amazing with pickled green beans) and other speciality drinks. Also had a drink to go. Upstairs looked like it would be fun late night.

The waitress is friendly, but the drinks are poor (soda water for the "special") and the food service is sloooow (with excuses).

Found the food to be uber salty. The seafood pasta wS great and they make a mean brisket. The jambalaya was one of those dishes that would have succeeded with less salt.

Came to NOLA with my bf for our anniversary. We stumbled upon this bar on our first day. We stayed at the bar area and had a sampler of their different beers on tap. They were all local beers which were great. Our bartender was Dante and he was really helpful in suggesting drinks and great conversation. He was also great at giving us directions to other places we wanted to visit around the quarter.

  • Clarice O.

My friend and I just stopped by to check the place out. He told me that he has been hearing a lot of good stuff about their nightlife and dragged me here before my mandatory after-dancing Cafe du Monde beignet stop (this visit occurred after a few fantastic hours at Mimi's*). We went to the second floor where the Top 40 songs were beckoning me to dance some more before eating beignets. I am a fan of their dark wood furnishing (mind, it was not exactly very bright so my eyes could have been tricked), but I am not a fan of the super sticky dance floor. But when I am out dancing, I really don't care much for anything but the music, so this did not deter me too long from enjoying myself. Here is what you should keep in mind, though: Jackson Brewery is just like any club I can easily find here at home. Nothing made me think that I was in New Orleans, which is not always a bad thing but it is never the best thing. Still quite an enjoyable time, though. * yelp.com/biz/mimis-in-th…

We were looking for beignets and coffee for breakfast the day after Thanksgiving. The line for the most well-known place was way too long on this very cold morning. So we drove around a bit and found Jax down the road. We parked across the street, waited in a much shorter line and believe me, these beignets were fantastic! Hot, freshly made, covered in powdered sugar, served with hot coffee. We were able to get a table inside and enjoy our breakfast and get warm so much faster than anywhere else around there. I don't believe that the beignets anywhere else would have been any better either!

Very good food. Nice variety. Service was very pleasant. A great Oyster Bacon Sandwich. Great breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Yummy lettuce wrap. All the food was very fresh. Service was a bit slow (I swear it's a NOLA thing). But, to be expected with the weekend crowd and seating availability at the bar only. Pretty nice view of the river from the upstairs bar was a bonus. It was one of our better meals in NOLA. Price is reasonable. Lunch for 4 was less than $50 (cocktails not included, only soft drinks). I would definitely dine here again.

We heard about this place on our first trip to NOLA but it took round two for us actually make it inside. The general manager is a total doll and the security guys at the front are equally friendly and awesome. There is a cover on Sunday nights but the music is awesome, the crowd is huge, although late coming. Great option for something off of Bourbon St, gives you the room to dance a little but also relaxing enough that you can hang out by the bar and have a conversation. Definitely recommend it if you want to dress up a little and dance to some good music while still experiencing some southern charm!

For a New Year's Eve dinner this was an acceptable restaurant. We had reservations and arrived a little early and they appreciated it. Our food was satisfying and they obviously have a good selection of beers. Our waitress was friendly but was missing at times, rarely stopping by our table. She tried to crack a few jokes but they were never quite on point. We left satisfied with our to go cups of beer to enjoy the rest of the night. When I go back to New Orleans this will be a spot that makes the list for nice to upscale dining place.

So it's Saturday night in New Orleans and you have a bachelor party of 17 guys, and your best man didn't book a reservation. So what can you do? Why turn the iphone to Open Table and search away. Open Table found this place, and so we booked it online then trotted over to the restaurant. We were a big group, but our waitress seemed overwhelmed by our table and the other 4 people in the restaurant. The staff didn't seem to be ready for anyone to eat there with 3 people working on a Saturday night, which was an ominous sign. Other things that transpired: A bud light took quite a while to appear and this made our bachelor sad. A dance club and larger bar area is up stairs and the music pours to the first floor because there's no doors or sound proofing to stop it. A few of the guys ordered the sliders, they were sitting so long the sauce soaked through the once warm, now cold, buns by the time they came out. Overall the food was average to underwhelming, the boudain was tasted like it'd been sitting under a lamp all day, the alligator bites were so over spiced you couldn't tell what meat it really was, and most everything was room temp, or microwaved and reheated. All in all it was a place that had a big table and lackluster food. Go elsewhere....but if you have a crowd, they have a big table. After supper we did get in the club for free, but the music was loud, there was no one dancing, and it seemed like the club had lost it's popularity.

This venue has a small bar space downstairs with the majority of the venue being upstairs. They have two large bar areas upstairs along with a nice outdoor patio with some nice comfy patio furniture. I find the drink prices at night to be a bit too expensive, as many places in the Quarter are, and I'm not sure if they ever do drink specials or have a happy hour as I've never been in early enough to discover that. I've also only been here for crowded events so I'm not sure what its like on less crowded nights. The ambiance is quite nice and they have made a really nice space here. It is more of a fancy club scene with VIP options which isn't really my favorite type of venue as I prefer just a plain old bar or live music venue and I hate DJs. Most of the bartenders here are really nice but I have run into one surly grumpy one before. This place does attract quite a horde of very nice looking ladies but it does seem to attract a much younger crowd generally.

We stopped in here before a break dancing show to grab a beer to go. In full tourist fashion we requested their home style brew, but found that due to the brewery using water from the Mississippi to make their beer, it was closed back in the 70's. Why not just call it Mississippi Mud or something, and run with it? Meh.

I'm not really sure if I like this place or not. I've only come here once and will probably have to come here again to make a sound judgement on it. The time I came, it was a Saturday night. We got here at around 10:30 and no one was there. I don't like going out too late so if you plan on coming here, make sure you go somewhere beforehand. I like the fact there is multiple rooms and environments. However, I think there is also too much going on with the different rooms. There's apparently a restaurant, a bar, and a club-like scene on the second floor. I believe there is usually a cover to get in and I heard the drinks are expensive, which is a HUGE turn-off for me. The club-like part of it is okay. The music is decent. It's just really dark in there so I don't really know who I'm talking to or looking at, which I really don't like. The one thing I REALLY like about this place is that you can go sit outside on the balcony that overlooks the river. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL and kinda romantic if you're on a date (I wasn't. I was with a group of friends).

New locay to dine, drink and watch a humungous big screen! No need for thirsty Thursdays - Martini's $5 daily during happy hour. Geof the bartender whipped a few mad one's for me and my girls. He wasn't so bad to look at either ;) I ordered the lobster bisque and it was very good. My sister ordered the quesadillas and growled si bueno! The rooftop view makes the 2nd floor look like a NY club. There are huge TV's in a room for Football games - 'Jackpot'. Had fun for my first visit to the JBB.

Came here for a beer during a Mardi Gras morning (shhhhhh!). I seek the unique, and had hoped to find a place with house-made brew on tap. Instead I got beer that was made locally, but a convoluted story that didn't explain why they didn't have their own beer. I didn't feel their tap was extensive and two or three of the drafts were out (again, it was Mardi Gras, we let these those things go). The people inside were really kind and helped with ideas of things to do, but ultimately we ordered one beer and left.

If only NYC had places like this. Came during the red-dress-run many many many months ago - and it was the best time i've had in a while. Lots of beer on tap, and lots of friendly waitstaff. The sheer size of this place is impressive.

First impression: commercialized restaurant. Definitely a tourist joint, but the decor and layout is quite nice :) they have a hip trendy second floor that turns into a night club at night. I love the dark woods, worn leather chairs and the overall feel of the place. Outdoor seating that overlooks the water is a great place to have your meal if the weather isnt too bad. And of course, the beer sampler is a must. Ended up ordering the fried catfish meal and it was satisfying and filling. You'll want to build up an apatite before coming here.

This wasn't really what I expected. Well, actually, the downstairs is what I expected... I had no idea about the club-like area upstairs. Interesting. Not really my scene, but interesting. It's kind of cool that they have a mix of a laid-back bar downstairs with the club atmosphere upstairs for those that are much more hip than I. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. I got in free, the fiance had to pay a $5 cover. Not bad. As with everywhere in this area, finding free street parking is a pain, but there is a lot next to Jax that you can pay to park (it's reasonable). Be prepared to pay $9 for a mixed drink, but it's served in a large cup and is quite strong. I found myself using the Shazam app to find out what the DJ was actually playing... apparently I'm more out of the "top 40" music loop than I thought I was. This place reminds me that I'm old, but otherwise, it's pretty cool. I would probably return.

Minus one star for the 18+ crowd. Just not a fan of being surrounded by uber young, sloppy, loud girls. If you're old and sloppy, that's fine. :) Lol, perhaps I just miss my youth? That was the only negative thing I have to say about this place. This is a great place for a large group with diverse interests. For the ladies who want to dance to the latest hits, there's a large dance floor. There's a bar for those who just want to chill. And there's a great outdoor patio with a nice view of the water. A lil something for everyone! Oh it's a PRETTY crowd. Lots of nice faces to look at for both sexes. $10 cover for the boys and free for chicks. The line can be long but moves quickly so don't let that deter you from joining the fun. Hope to see you there!

    (4)
  • Cristy C.

I came on a bad day, but even still I was impressed at it's diversity. What I mean is, the environment is classic New Orleans if you take your drinks outside and enjoy the beautiful view to the river. You can go inside and drink at the bar... which is a very large rounded bar. There's even a night club inside with a DJ and a large dance floor. So if you're with a group and cant decide between going to a bar or a club, this is probably the best place to go.... makes everyone happy.

This place is pretty awesome. Ridiculously strong AC. Cool atmosphere. Friendly, good-looking servers. Low prices and lots of variety of brews on tap. There's really a lot to say about this place and all of it is positive. Some highlights from our visit were... * Bartender was running low on the keg. She tried to fill two glasses but it was all head. She tapped a new keg, got us new glasses, and when the head subsided, gave us the other glasses of beer for free. * There was a random magician strolling through the bar. He was hilarious, he was a little freaky. Looked like Abe Lincoln, just shorter and more portly. * FLAT SCREENS AT THE URINALS!!! It's in a great location and the service was great. Upstairs they've got this warehouse style club feel going on. Multiple levels, multiple bars. Would love to check it out in the evening. Cheers!

We went to Jax for dinner and were waiting at the hostess stand for some time. Finally a server gets off his ass at the bar and asked how he could help us, as if we were imposing... We asked to be seated for dinner and then he tells us the chef called in sick. Called in sick?! WTF kind of business is this place?! Awful! Awful! Awful!

The service at this place was the best I've had in a long time. The guy that was serving my cousin/uncle and I did an excellent job. My uncle even went back inside and told him that after leaving him a big tip. I had a very good beer there, with a catfish poboy with waffle fries. All I can tell you is wow! I was so happy after eating there. Great place for a beer or food. They have TV screens so you can watch sports even all around.

Came here on a Monday - first day in NOLA. Went to the bar with a great view overlooking the Mississippi. It was pretty empty, but it was also a....Monday afternoon. The bartender, Dante - was SUPER nice and chill. Told jokes, gave us free drinks and recommended us a ton of places to go in the French quarter! This is only a review for the drinks and service - both great!

Stopped in when it was not very busy on a Saturday while football was on. Had a bowl of gumbo and stole some waffle fries from a buddy. The bartender was friendly, great and knowledgeable about beer. Back to the gumbo, it was unique and different than most. More of a gourmet style vs the traditional. Fries were good, beer was tasty. I'd recommend when not busy.

Huge place, but I really wish that they had at least one beer on tap that was theirs, especially with a name like "Jackson Brewery". They sell shirts and other merchandise with the brewery name on it, but don't have their own beer and can only give you bits and pieces of a story as to why not. After that it's just your standard bar.

  • Stephen W.

Nice place to hang out and have a brew on tap. Not a huge selection, but adequate. I went during the day so I cannot comment on the music or dance floor upstairs. The best thing is to go the upstairs bar and grab a seat by the window to look at the river. I actually thought that this was still a working brewery until I went there and found out differently.

Stopped in looking for a late afternoon lunch. There were people sitting at the bar, a bartender & another couple workers in & out. No welcome, nod or offer of seating. Oh well, Not that big of a deal. Our party of 6 made our way upstairs to the balcony seating we could see. 1 busy bartender, no sign of any other wait staff. That bartender did not notice or even look our way. Waited at our table awhile, finally going to bartender when no one came. He told us. "yeah, there's no table service" By this time a little irritated because a sign stating this would be a simple solution to let customers know what to do. Each couple ordered food. 2 couples received theirs. The rest of us had finished eating and the last couple's still had not come. They finally asked about it and it came in a bit. By then we had been there a very long time & they only had time to eat a few bites before having to leave for a pre-planned event. The bartender could have offered an apology or been more concerned. But the main problem seems to be management. What is a HUGE restaurant that serves food doing with one bartender to take care of everything? The food was fine and the view towards the Mississippi beautiful. Maybe it was an unusual day. if not...1 or 2 more staff & a couple signs would help make it a better experience for customers.

I really liked this place. Great view, great atmosphere, but started to get really crowded around midnight. There was a $10 cover but we had arrived before they started charging, so we lucked out. Drinks were fairly reasonable and the music was good. Good overall atmosphere for the few hours we were there. The outside balcony was so nice and it had a view of the canal. Next time we're in NOLA, we'll definitely try to make another visit.

A group of 12 of us ate lunch here during a bachelor party weekend. The service was very slow- took us well over 2 hours to finish our meal. I would have been okay with this, but the food was very mediocre. The jambalaya was nothing special, and nobody was impressed by the po boys. I asked for hot sauce and all they had was Tabasco. The nachos and waffle fries were solid, but those items usually are hard to mess up. There are much better options in New Orleans.

menu not that big. hard to find since whole buiding says Jax brewery, but it's the size of a large high school, but the restaurant is the size of a living room on a corner. good house salad jambalya ok, not great gumbo so-so

This place is better as a club than it is a restaurant during the day. If you are tired of the smell of Bourbon street, go here because there will be good music and there will be a lot of people. If you are interested in having a bite, I recommend the Boudin Burger and the Jambalaya wrap. These two are fantastic. After the first bite of my Jambalaya wrap, I was thinking to myself, "why didn't I think of Panini pressing Jambalaya wrapped in tortilla?" The reason why I am giving this place a three star instead of a four star is because they took a while to get our food to us. There was a couple who arrived at the same time as our party who got their whole meal and had left before we were able to get ours.

A friend and I ate here while we were waiting for a ghost tour to start around the corner. We got a beer flight and a watermelon mojito. The local beer has too much hops for my taste, but the watermelon mojito was downright refreshing and only $6. Our server was new but very nice and did a good job. The blackened alligator was so good! I've had alligator many times before - but this was different in a really good way :) It was so tender and the spices added so much flavor but not at all spicy. The seared tuna salad was cooked perfectly. I don't remember what my friend ordered but she loved it as well. I would definitely go back. The only thing I wish was better would be the cleanliness, but it's a bar in the French Quarter so I understand :)

I frequent this place for Friday happy hour. I am not sure why it's not busier than it is because the deals on martini's for the ladies and beer for the guys can't be beat. I've enjoyed a few appetizers here. The bacon wrapped shrimp was really good. The blackened gator had way too much salt. I couldn't even choke that down, but that's the only thing I've eaten here that wasn't good. The staff on Friday's downstairs are very friendly and fun. I haven't been to the club scene upstairs, but it looks like it would be a good time. It's always packed.

They should take the word brewery out of their name. I stopped in (without consulting Yelp first - I know, what was I thinking?!) for a local beer. Nope. Not brewed there. So got the sampler of beers, but nothing was very dark and several IPAs made for an uninspired collection of little glasses. The server seemed disinterested once we indicated we had no intention of eating anything since we just came from lunch, and it was just as well because her perfume was aggressive and unwelcome. I will say that the view overlooking the river was sweet.

Jax is a really cool and hip spot to grab some drinks in the Quarter or watch the game or just chill on the patio outside. This used to be the old Ripley Believe It Or Not-place. They did a fantastic job renovating it. The downstairs offers a large food selection and a very spacious seating area. They even have a projector for games playing when necessary. The 2nd floor is more for dancing and fun, and private parties, dj's, or concerts. They usually show all of the Saints games on the huge stage and provide couch seating and 4 different bars and cocktail servers to suit your needs. The patio overlooks the river and you their is a separate bar just for that section too. This is a very cool, hip crowd...which is also very friendly to a tourist who wonders through.

Only came here for a couple of beers- maybe an off day? The staff all seemed so miserable- not saying the service was bad or anyone was rude- just lots of unhappy faces. Go upstairs and take a seat on the patio furniture outside-also won't have to see all the sad sac faces inside that way

  • Leslie G.

Awful service and food. Ridiculous. Had to order my drink 3 times before the server actually brought it (we were literally sitting in the bar); brought a "vodka/soda" that was literally water; brought food for someone elses table, then took it way; brought an appetizer meant for crostinis but didn't bring crostinis for another 15 minutes; brought us dinner rolls left over from "a party in the back"; shrimp po boy was dry; fries were cold; at the end the server (who wrote hardly anything down which was likely a key problem) came around and asked everybody what they had again so he could prepare the bill. Server did bring bacon wrapped shrimp for everyone, which was apparently good, but the sorry shots tasted like Gatorade rather than a stiff little pick-me-up shot.

I'll start with the good things. It's in a great location, right along the river, in a great building. There is lots of space, a great big bar upstairs, and a balcony where you can go relax if the music inside is too loud or the crowd too crowded. The bartenders managed to take my order quickly, an impressive feat on a busy night in a bar full of dubiously legal girls dressed like first class cases of STD's. These are all good things. Unfortunately, there were enough bad things that the 2-star, "meh, I've experienced better," is a perfect reflection of my experience at Jax. The crowd was 18+, which, let's be honest, is only good if you're between the ages of 18 and 21 (or interested in hitting on girls between the ages of 18 and 21). Otherwise, you get to deal with a mob of drunk people who are so bad at drinking that they vomit, inside, at the bar (on other people). Yep, that happened. The music is ragingly loud near the dance stage, so that shouting is necessary, but that is a given at most "club" style establishments. The only place to go where you can escape the arrhythmia inspiring bass beat is the balcony outside (which is noted above as one of the good things about Jax). Most importantly, when I ordered a Rum and Coke (a drink that takes about 3 seconds to pour with no preparation required) I was told it was $9. For a well drink. Never again. Seriously never again.

Amazing concept for a bar/restaurant/nightclub. We came in to get out of the heat, and the fact that Bud Selects were the $1 happy hour special didn't hurt. We skipped the bar in front and headed right upstairs to the bar on the second level. On the way we got a good look at the mezzanine style seating areas and the large comfortable leather couches, chairs and loveseats placed strategically around the place. The second level had a few bars, nice big & very clean bathrooms, the aforementioned relaxing seating areas and an outside patio. I would give it 5 stars, but it was pretty dead for happy hour and I didn't try the food. If the food is as good as it looked and the crowd pours in after happy hour then I say expect a 5 star visit. even if not 4 stars ain't too shabby.

Awful place for food! Great game watching room upstairs, but we chose to eat downstairs and watch the game there, thinking the service might be better. Nope! Service very slow. The "bowl" of gumbo was a small cup and it was $8.95! Total ripoff. Same for the "bowl" of crawfish étouffée.

Delicious food, friendly staff and a great view of the river. I am pleased to say that the Jackson Brewery was my introduction to 'gator meat and it did not disappoint. Not only was the the Blackened Gator Wrap bursting with flavor, it was also presented quite well. Add some potato wedges and life is good. Jackson Brewery was a tasty experience.

Awful experience..... Went to watch football and get a burger. Waited over an hour for the food and when waitress finally bought it to us.... It was ice cold!!!!! We paid for our drinks and left. This was part the kitchens fault but on second thought if the waitress would have picked up the order from the kitchen... It wouldn't have been cold. Save yourself!!! Ear somewhere else

Very expensive drinks. Bartenders each charging you different prices so ask before paying!! When I told the bartender that the other guy charged another price (which was less), he threatened to kick me out. The club is nice, lots of space and great music but it did die off quick (around 2). I'm never going back just because of the way I was treated.

We went here for our wedding anniversary dinner & had a terrible experience. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks & could see them sitting at the bar waiting for the waitress to drop them at our table. The piña colada is the only reason I gave one star, it was delicious! We ordered an appetizer that also took way too long to get to our table. And to top that we didn't get our entrees until 30min after that! It was 6pm (normal dinner time) and we were 1 of 3 tables so the delay didn't make any sense. A table next to us ended up paying for their drinks & walking out because of the wait. And another table next to us even discussed their complaint of the wait as well! Poor poor service on the kitchen & wait staff. To end our horrible experience, our bill was twice as much as it should've been. The waitress mixed up orders with other tables & we sent it back to be fixed. That took about 15 min only for her to bring it back still wrong. We sent it to be fixed a second time & when it was brought back it was STILL wrong. At that point we were so tired of waiting we just paid the incorrect amount & left! We would never recommend this restaurant & will in fact warn people to not waste their time.

Near the river and just on the edge of the French Quarter, perfect location to people watch and eat some amazing cuisine! I had the Blackened Boursin Burger and my friends tried the Jambalaya. Everything was yummy and our bartender was a great accent, with a quirky but laid back attitude and he was from my hometown, Biloxi! Great spot to stop in...definitely recommend!

Lucky you to have stumbled upon this life saving review. I can't believe what I was served. For $20, a side salad with stale shredded cheese and cheap croutons over mixed greens, and the unforgivable, crawfish etouffe. A brown curd like substance that carried 3 tiny crawfish over rice that may have broke my teeth. I keep it real, I rarely give such a review but this is purpose of yelp. You want real, NOLA food, then get out of the quarter and go to Jacques-imos cafe. Or anywhere in the garden distric, midcity, or uptown. Otherwise plan on being constipated and nauseous as a result of the food poison in the quarter.

tons and tons of ac! atmosphere is really cool. the best we saw in nola. huge renovated 2 story warehouse building with very high ceilings. exposed brick and wood. total of 3 bars. a large dance area in front of a stage on the 2nd floor with 3 lofted seating areas. tons of seating throughout, cafeteria style on the 1st floor, more lounge-like on the 2nd. 2nd floor has a patio with views of the river. large windows. good prices: cokes are $2 and beers on tap are $5. several local beers on tap. friendly bar staff. right next to jackson square so you're in the middle of the action but aren't being ripped off for it.

This place is great! We came here for drinks in the afternoon after getting beignets right next door at Cafe du Monde. We were only planning on staying for a couple of hours, but ended up canceling our dinner reservations at another restaurant to stay here instead. When we walked in, the bar was almost full but a man at the host stand - possibly the owner - brought us upstairs and told the bartenders to take care of us. They were very welcoming. The upstairs bar has doors leading to two outdoor patios - one has a bunch of couches, the other has a couple of patio tables. Our two bartenders - Tommy and Eric - were awesome! Tommy made us his specialty drink and Eric gave us recommendations for other bars/restaurants in the area. As far as food goes, it was ok. There were seven of us and overall, we enjoyed the food. I'm not sure what alligator is supposed to taste like, but we tried it there and it wasn't bad. The best dish was definitely the Catfish Acadian - catfish over jambalaya. Everyone tried it and loved it. At one point, a group of guys was getting rowdy over a football game and started screaming and swearing, at which point Eric grabbed the megaphone they keep behind the bar and told him to knock if off or he'd change the channel. Our group of seven girls appreciated that. We were at the bar for a bit and moved outside for dinner and more drinks where we ended up staying for hours. Overall, this is a great place in a great location near Frenchman Street.

The bartenders were WASTED! They were more interested in pouring shots from the bottle directly into their mouths (which is gross and completely unsanitary) than making money and serving drinks. I had to repeat my order to the soon to be black out bartender twice before he finally got it. He told me the to$50.00 bill and he returned a $1.00 bill, he looked at me like I was crazy. He was so drunk he had no idea how much money I gave him and I had to do the math for him so he could figure it out. The DJ was also on the weak side. Played a total random mix of super old school music, to techno to top 40--there was no cohesiveness. The place died down around 2AM on a Saturday night which was also a downer. We thought since it was Memorial Day weekend and the rest of the city was packed, this would be our "go to" spot, but we were disappointed with all of the above.

This is a fairly new place that opened a few months ago. It is actually a restaurant that is a club/bar at night. They serve food until 11:00 p.m. I have never actually eaten here so I am reviewing it for the nightlife aspect. I want to like this place a little more than I actually do. It is a good sized place with a few bars set-up for easy access to drinks. They have a larger than average sized dance floor right in the middle of the place. The D.J. plays the current hits; consisting mostly of pop and hip hop songs. They just recently (a few weeks ago) changed the age rule from no one under 21 to girls 18 and up and guys 21 and up..... which i think put a damper on a certain demographic. Personally I don't really want to party with a bunch of high schoolers..... there are so many other places in the Quarter that girls that are 18 can go to, so I am not all that pleased with this decision. Anyway, there are 3 different VIP Loft-like sections that are set up on the second floor overlooking the entire club. These sections range in price depending on what they have going on that night. The night we were there in one of those sections, they were charging $1500 per section. That's a hefty price to pay, but it was sooooo much fun. We were set up in the VIP Lounge that housed the D.J. and he was awesome. I'm sure you can imagine that for that amount of money, you also have your own server who frequently checks on you and makes sure your bottle service is going smoothly. I had such a great time at this place. The reason I rated them a 3 out of 5 is due to the extremely young and sometimes unruly crowd that they have in the main area of the club. It's not really my thing to go to places with drunk kids fist fighting, ya know. And let me tell you, you WILL see fights in this place if you're there anytime after 2 a.m. Next time I'm on Decatur during the daytime, I am going to stop in and grab some lunch from here and I will update you on how the food is.

Decided to give this place another chance now that they have been open for a month or so. We sat upstairs on the deck overlooking the swelling Mississippi river. It was about 4 pm and we decided on wine and small plates. Hannah was our server and she was friendly, prompt and attentive. She was knowledgeable about the food, and a great spokesman for the venue by telling us about the upcoming events such as Ladies night and how to rent the VIP sections of the venue. This is a great concept for the FQ because it's an upscale nightclub type of place completely different from the Bourbon St. style clubs. Yet, it's also a chill place for afternoon drinks with an awesome view. Hannah was done with her shift but stayed behind to finish waiting on us. Another table was seated by the host on the deck and the table belonged to another server, unfortunately like my first experience, no one ever came out to wait on them and they left after waiting for about 15 minutes. Hannah did an excellent job but I guess some of the other servers still aren't quite up to par. If you get a bad waitress and are willing to tough it out, the food is actually quite good and the venue is a nice change from typical FQ.

Really I mean 4.5 stars. My beaux and I walked in here accidentally looking for the diner next door and boy am I glad we did. The host graciously led us to the upstairs patio when I requested to be sitting in as much sun as possible. It was mid-day, so I can't really comment on any of the dance/bar stuff but if I ever end up on death row, my last requested meal will be the Catfish Arcadia with Crawfish Etouffee. I literally threw my fork down after the first bite. His pork chop was just as delicious. Also, I was introduced to Andy Gator there which became my staple beer for the rest of my NOLA trip. It was hard not to go back and eat every day. The same host let us know about the Friday night dance party, but we're not really the club type so we never went for it. The second floor stage looks like it'd be an awesome venue for a band to play though. But the food... five stars for that alone, and minus half a star for the construction that was going on above my head and the strange things that started floating into my beer at the end of the meal. Totally worth it though.

Needs to update their menu. Their online menu doesn't match the in house menu. We took a taxi cab ride there only to be disappointed and had to find another place that met everyone's menu needs. The waitress was fantastic and gave us some other places to check out. The placed seemed really nice, clean, and the staff was well trained. The staff turned an okay encounter into a positive one.

Here's a review for you, don't go to a haunted house tour that meets here. So lame. On the other hand, you get $1 off a beer if you do, so there's that.

2 words - EXPENSIVE BEER! Beware, because I never thought 2 pints of Abita would come to $13.50. It's a nice convenient spot to stop for a cold one after walking along the Riverfront. It's right across from Jackson Square. We sat at the bar, bartender's service was ok, but a "thumb up" on their charging station! I was able to juice up my phone as I was wondering why I just paid $13.50 for 2 pints of local beer.
